To the reader: Since 1999 Serge Benhayon has presented on the fact that love is the greatest form of intelligence; that there is a way to live that unlocks an equal intelligence within us all, that is not determined by whether or not one has a formal education or has attended University. Serge Benhayon is not formally educated and yet through his living way is able to share a form of wisdom and philosophy that is unparalleled. It is a form of intelligence that takes into account all people equally, and takes care of people on every level.
Our issue here is not that Lance Martin has not studied Science… it is that he is attempting to wield Science as a weapon against others, and yet has very little knowledge or background in Science and vehemently betrays the fundamental tenets of Science in almost every word.
This is the falsity that we wish to bring to account.
Lance Martin, with no prior interest in science, has recently started to Talk Science Like, using some big words to pepper his invective. It appears as though he has run out of ‘cult leader stole my wife’ steam and is attempting to borrow from another paradigm, the science and medical one, to bolster his cause – the revenge cause that is. If you were thinking it was in the public interest, you are mistaken. Lance Martin has only had his personal agenda at heart, and his shifting comments and ideologies attest to that.
His first misguided and fictional agenda was carefully crafted to pull on the sympathy strings of anyone who would listen: ‘look-big–bad-cult-leader-stole–my-wife-oh-its-terrible-somebody-please-saave-me’ and since this has failed to get the attention he sought and most people realised that his wife actually left the marriage because he was controlling and manipulative (and some might say a bully) he has now intriguingly, tried a NEW angle – Modern Science.
Except there is nothing modern about Lance’s incorporation of Ye Olde Scientific Lingo into his empty belligerent blusters. It is traditional Mussolini-style fascist agenda shifting – to incorporate/copy a new lingo from another paradigm into the old to beef up the old one when it is failing to achieve your personal agendas.
Lance Martin of hotels2go has incorporated such pontifical gems such as: (in deep gruff voice of Authority)
• ahem •
1. Lance Martin on Counselling:
Mind. Reading. Very Scientific. Glad you’re showing us the way Lance. While you’re at it, can you tell us where the tin foil hats are so we can protect our ‘minds’ from your ‘reading’ skills?
2. Lance Martin on Science:
Really? This is the first that we have heard of this take on the foremost physicist’s explications of energy and life. This is a most fascinating statement.
Lance Martin appears to be presenting himself as someone with an intricate understanding of science. So, then how exactly does he explain the scientific formula that Einstein put forth, as a communication in precise mathematical language which describes in mathematical precision exactly not only THAT but HOW everything is energy………
It’s called the mass-energy equivalence Lance:
Where E = energy and M = matter – i.e., all of the solid stuff.
Again: how exactly does Lance Martin explain the scientific formula that Einstein put forth? Oh that’s right. He can’t.
He hasn’t actually studied science and doesn’t understand science.
He just likes, to, oh that’s right, Make.Things.Up. to hide his ignorance under bluster and bolster his personal agendas, counting on the ignorance of others to be persuaded by his Tone Of Authority.
Nothing new here.
Lance Martin of hotels2go will and does dismiss actual science to promote his own spiteful and invented agenda, as is evidenced by his latest empty blustering statements where (in an alter ego You Know Who) he attempts to demean and belittle Dr Sam Kim:
Lance Martin as You Know Who quotes Dr Sam Kim (pictured):
Then adds his own ‘intellectual’ comment:
‘No Sam. No. This is where you are being misled. Maybe you need to read a little physics and get a better idea of what it is about and what it has really revealed in the last 100 years. It’s a lot more than Serge has the capacity to understand in his minute wisdom and 1000 times more amazing.’
Well Lance, how about YOU tell us all about Physics and what it has revealed in the last 100 years?
Um. We are still waiting for that….
And waiting …….
And, we mean, truthfully, and not bluster-bluff as the rest of your allegations and statements about Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine have been. Bearing in mind that some of us have actual science degrees (which means we have studied real science and understand real science, and work in the actual field of science and do not just like you, make it up, and, wait for it, some of us have also studied actual physics. Yes, actually studied at University Lance, who refers to what, a couple of Marketing subjects allegedly studied at Macquarie University – we know you didn’t actually get a degree Lance).
Given that you have already told us that Einstein did not say that everything is energy, when he actually derived the revolutionary formulaic relationship between energy, light and all the solid stuff we call matter, then it seems highly unlikely that you have an understanding of or comprehension of what modern physics actually does have to offer, and if you did, you would most likely twist it and deny it anyway if it did not suit the agenda that you are trying to promote.
We see that Lance Martin once more is making arrogant assertions, making it sound as though he Knows A Lot without providing any actual evidence or solid positive contribution.
The fact remains that despite Lance’s arrogant and ignorant assertions, everything IS energy, scientifically so.
We have some questions for Lance Martin:
- Which legitimate scientific text, written in the last year have you read that denies that proven fact? Because, the fact remains as is taught in universities nation and world wide, that everything is made of light and energy, and furthermore, people are spending billions of dollars to understand how that happens, e.g. the Hadron Collider.
- Experiments have shown that photons (particles of light – a form of energy) are emitted from biological tissue. How is this in keeping with your understanding that everything is not energy, given that light is a form of energy? If light is not already IN the tissue, then where does it come from?
- How does this ‘mind–reading’ that you say occurs in ‘real’ counselling actually happen? What exactly is ‘read’?
Also, you seem particularly keen to tell us all about Real Physics, publicly exhorting those with actual science degrees and an actual confirmed understanding of science, such as Dr. Sam Kim, to ‘read’ a ‘little’ about physics ….. in light of those exhortations we would like to know:
- Have you studied science beyond high school? What is the authority that you have to make blind statements about Serge’s or anyone else’s statements that they are ’unscientific’ or ‘pseudo scientific’, apart from the fact that you seem able to successfully spell those words?
- What is the latest text you have read on physics, and can you please give us a summary of its content, its real content, and not the made up and invented type of content that you send to government agencies.
We notice that you are quick to cast negative aspersions on those with actual degrees, in science as well no less, as not being ‘intellectuals’, as though that is a bad thing, but we notice that you do not seem to hold a tertiary qualification yourself ….. do you consider yourself to be an ‘intellectual’, to be The One ‘qualified’ to be making that judgement of others who you have not even met?
Dr. Sam Kim has made positive contributions to the field of science and medicine. What positive contribution have you made to the field of science, other than lying about people associated with Universal Medicine who work in the field of science and medicine? For the record, making ill-informed and un-evidenced statements as you have repeatedly done is not a positive contribution to anything.
Are you aware of the scientific advances that demonstrate that water holds consciousness? And, have you considered what consciousness is, or have you been too busy inventing lies about Serge Benhayon, Universal Medicine and as many people as possible associated with Universal Medicine to consider more profound and meaningful things?
Are you aware that the way that water is ordered is thought to have implications for the way that the body communicates? Or will you simply ignore this science and call it ‘pseudoscientific’ simply because you do not understand it and it does not agree with your current (and extremely limited) understanding of how the body works? And on that note, did you even know that water molecules can be ordered? And given the fact that the body is approximately 70% water did you ever consider that that could potentially have some significant meaning on the function of the body? Or do making up lies about Serge Benhayon for your revenge campaign interest you more…
Lastly, at least on this topic Lance, are you aware that science doesn’t understand everything, yet seeks to understand through observation and not prejudice?
There is a never-ending font of scientific wisdom and gems from Lance Martin-with-no-science-qualifications regarding the field of Science.
3. Lance Martin on Evidence.
Lance has recently discovered the term ‘Confirmation Bias’ and gave us a beautiful quote from Wikipedia to explain to everyone, who may not be so familiar with science as he is, that people tend to:
He then proceeded to, in a non-evidentiary way, belittle what he calls the ‘doctor’s’ submission
Apart from verbally linking them with drug theft, he didn’t present any actual evidence to the contrary. He just felt good about making the Confident Statement that it was All A Bias. Now, that is not actual evidence, that is a plain and empty assertion, and does not hold weight in a scientific forum. We are held to ‘believe him’ because of his Blustering Manner. That is not science. That is supremacist bullying.
There is more.
Lance Martin, having accused ‘the doctors’ of being ‘biased’ in their ‘confirmation’, then proceeded to make what he considered to be the golden and apparently Scientifically Infallible Statement that (because He said so):
This is further intriguing. We note here that no evidence to support the fact that ‘Serge Is Wrong’ has been presented – just A Bold. statement of Arrogant Authority that because of the Tone. with which it is delivered it is expected we must all bow down and worship and agree.
Lance Martin of hotels2go also says (whilst huffing and blustering, puffing up his chest with Know It All attitude)
This is actually not the case.
True Science is about being open to consideration and seeing the evidence as it arises and interpreting it with an open mind, not with a preconceived intention. Trying to disprove is to start with a preconceived intent that something is actually wrong.
One can see that Lance Martin would have some difficulties in the scientific laboratory – imagine approaching an experiment with the strong intent that ‘it was wrong’. Imagine how that would contort the study design… now that would definitely be called B.I.A.S.
So here we have it ladies and gentleman. Not only is Sir Lance-lies-a-lot guilty of his own confirmation bias, but he actually dismisses, ignores, not even leaving it alone to misinterpret evidence to confirm his b.i.a.s. against Universal Medicine and Serge Benhayon.
He dismisses real evidence to confirm his pre-existing bias – which is very clearly stated in his own words that ‘Serge Is Wrong’. We wonder how the NHMRC would feel about such a biased and negative and unreasoned approach to research…
4. Lance Martin on Anecdotal Evidence:
Lance has also very much enjoyed his introduction to the term ‘anecdotal evidence’. And granted, it is a lovely term. But it has an actual meaning, and is not there to be used as a w-o-r-d, but has to mean something. Lance says that
Uhuh. Once more, because Lance Martin has ‘said so’, he apparently does not need to produce actual names, people or cases, because, he never does. Naturally. We bow to Lance Martin and his Superior Mind. However, we would also query his personal definition of ‘ample’. Would that be the same as ‘substantially true’? Umm—a made up story from another one of the gang?
See, on the contrary, we here in Universal Medicine have a great respect for the term and meaning of ‘anecdotal evidence’. What it actually means is that there is an accumulation of real first person accounts that together stack up to show that there is a strong trend.
Universal Medicine has been talking about anecdotal evidence for years, and not only talking about it but actually presenting anecdotal evidence. For example,
This website is a fabulous collection of anecdotal evidence:
And this site here is also a collection of anecdotal evidence:
We are surprised, given Lance’s strong belief in the power of anecdotal evidence as stated above, that he has not considered the weight of the evidence in these websites. He apparently considers one made up account from someone who ‘did-not-like-what-Serge-said to be of great meaning and relevance to his bias that ‘Serge-is-Wrong-and-is-a-cult-leader’, but finds a multitude of actual true stories to be irrelevant – which of course they are to Him, because they present findings that are directly opposite to his bias and undermine his chosen (ill and false) position.
Now the thing with anecdotal evidence is that it is usually considered that there is a small sample size, that is, a couple. However, when you start to get a collection of more than a hundred personal accounts, as is demonstrated on the Universal Medicine student websites –
that evidence is no longer the anecdotal experience of a few limited people, it is actual evidence.
On a massive scale.
So, what has Lance, who-loves-science and the correct application of scientific words, done with the evidence that Universal Medicine has not been shying away from presenting?
Oh that’s right… ignored it. How very unscientific.
One would think that the stories of what people are sharing, and the images of the good health that people are experiencing and the good health that people are experiencing by combining their conventional medicine with Universal Medicine Therapies would be of great interest for people to read and see and hear about.
Lance Martin (a degree in? what was that Lance?) IGNORES the evidence, and not just ignores it but belittles it. He deems that Universal Medicine students are ‘brainwashed’ and thus are not telling the truth……. But ‘brainwashing’, as has been exposed in another blog, is not a real scientific thing – it belongs only in science fiction movies.
(mmm. Yes. Very. Scientific Lance)
Not only is it unscientific to claim that somebody is brainwashed, but it is a remarkably convenient assertion to cast in order to abrogate responsibility and dismiss the ‘opposition’ to one’s allegations.
There is no better way of attempting to eliminate the sound arguments against the drivel that one proposes (yes, that’s you Lance) other than saying (like the small boy says “but, the dog ate my homework. No reeallly”) ‘but-sir-you-can’t-listen-to-them-looook-they’re-zombies-listen-to meeeee’….
Yes Lance. Yes, Very Credible. Excellent.
That would work in any debate or court of law. Not… and it has not.
Once more, Lance Martin violates scientific principles:
So, Lance claims to love science, and uses scientific words, but lies about science, doesn’t provide any actual evidence, just threats, and, uses a non-scientific construct to ignore the data that he doesn’t want to see??
Fickle. Just like his ideology, which changes to suit his personal agendas.
Anyone looking for a research assistant?
We wouldn’t want him as our lab assistant.
We want accuracy and truth in our results, not fabricated results – that would be a crime.
