Esther Rockett is no Child Safety Advocate
by Kristy Wood B.A. Ed B.Ed
In recent times, and after hate blogging since 2012, I have seen cyber-abuser Esther Rockett attempt to re-label herself as a ‘child safety advocate’. She has used many self appointed titles in an attempt to give herself new authority to discredit and tarnish the reputation of Universal Medicine.
For the past 3 years Esther Rockett has defamed, made false accusations and lied about Serge Benhayon, Universal Medicine, Serge’s family and many associated with Universal Medicine. Within this time, she has branded herself an advocate in different areas to try to appeal with the public that she has genuine concerns in this field and isn’t pushing a self driven agenda.
However, each time she gives herself a ‘new label’, she has no body of work behind her to show that she has ever genuinely had an interest in this area (beyond her recent self driven interest). Esther Rockett’s tack is to develop lies and accusations about Serge Benhayon, his family and anyone associated with Universal Medicine that is intended to cause the most public outrage and reaction.
Esther Rockett has no evidence to back her complaints
During her three-year cyber assault against Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine, Esther Rockett has never once provided any evidence to back up any one of her complaints. None.
But wait, not only has there been no evidence and therefore no true victims, the ones Esther Rockett claimed were victims testified that not only were they not in any way victims, they were actually helped to become greater persons within themselves by none other than Serge Benhayon. Yes, the claimed victims of Rockett’s deceptive campaign stated what was in fact the truth.
But does that arrest this cyber stalker and cyber bully? Apparently not. When your claimed evidence turns out to be the opposite to what you claim, the shrewdest step is to at least stop your disclosed lies; wiser still would be to apologise to the person your false evidence attempted to incriminate. But no, the ranting and the lies continue for this exposed cyber abuser. Even Rockett’s own claims about the possibility of sexual misconduct were, on her own admission, entirely imagined – nothing ever occurred.
I can make no assessment of what a person engages in as a part of their imagined reality, however, individuals should not be able to make false accusations of crimes that have never occurred without being required to provide evidence to support such claims. (In Esther Rockett’s case, fabricated accusations of grooming and child sexual abuse).
What Esther Rockett has engaged in, is not ‘advocacy’ on behalf of ‘child-safety’, it is pure abuse.
Esther Rockett is a defendant in legitimate legal proceedings, not a victim
Serge Benhayon is now taking legal action in the Supreme Court of NSW for defamation in order to call a halt to Esther Rockett’s most abusive accusations centring on Esther Rockett’s utterly false imputations that he has an indecent interest in young girls and engages in sexual predation and grooming.
Esther Rockett is trying to justify her conduct on the basis of ‘free speech’, however, there is no affront to Freedom of Speech in asserting a legal right to prevent lies being concocted and spread.
I see nothing wrong with genuine criticisms, and someone not liking Universal Medicine is not an issue, since each person is entitled to their own opinions and choices. However, when somebody moves into abusing, concocting lies and building public hysteria from those lies this is not something that can be justified on the basis of freedom of speech, indeed it is a distortion of this fundamental human right to claim that baseless and vile accusations thrown at innocent people could or should be protected free speech, and any such claim needs to be called to account.
Esther Rockett has made continuous shifts in how she presents herself: multiple pseudonyms accompanied with multiple personalities, as well as self-appointed titles such as ‘health activist’ and her latest ‘child safety advocate’ and the makeshift, at each turn of failure and exposure, continues.
Esther Rockett is now portraying herself as a victim – supposedly a brave working class woman who has in her own mind single-handedly taken on what she perceives as a ‘dangerous man’ and organisation – this assessment cannot hold if the fact that all of her numerous complaints to authorities have been dismissed for lack of probity and evidence and that she alone has concocted all the concerns raised about the abuse towards others, who are clearly stating this has not occurred.
It also should be made clear that she has, in most cases, never had anything to do with all the matters or people she has made up complaints about.
Having worked with people my whole life, I have seen this before – when someone is finally called to account for their actions, when they are really out of line, they come out fighting thinking they are the victim and avoid taking responsibility and blame others for what they have created.
Harassment, ridicule, abuse and harm are not the activities of a ‘Child Safety Advocate’
FACT: I am someone who is a ‘Child Safety Advocate’ and have worked in this field for all of my adult life.
Yes, I am real and with a real history and hence a real body of work to support and provide authenticity to my claim as a ‘Child Safety Advocate’. Accordingly, as someone with a genuine interest in this area, I know full well the difference between someone who has their own self driven agenda and someone who has genuine intentions in regards to child welfare.
As a ‘child safety advocate’, if you had concerns about a young person’s wellbeing (or anyone’s wellbeing), you would be aware of the impact of the abuse on the young person. You would handle this with the sensitivity it deserved and would go to the appropriate channels to ensure that this is handled in the most appropriate way.
Esther Rockett did not do this. Instead, Esther Rockett set about creating a public forum on a blog-site where she could anonymously make up whatever fictions she chose. She did not support those she (falsely) asserted were victims with the sensitivity and care that true victims of abuse should be treated with, instead, she sought to abuse them further.
It is clear that Rockett’s blogs served a personal agenda, not a public concern for children.
For instance, Rockett accuses Serge of ‘grooming’ his current wife as a teenager and also infers that he has sexually abused his own daughter as well as ‘pimping’ her for profit.
I know first hand that these fabrications are not true. However, as a hypothetical, if they were, then you would be extremely concerned for the ‘victim’. You would never add to the abuse by publicly assaulting them further, which is what Esther Rockett proceeded to do. These are not the actions of someone who is a ‘child safety advocate’.
Rockett says that the whole reason behind her campaign is to stop Serge Benhayon and support families to no longer be ‘harmed’ by him. No-one she assumes she is advocating for have actually been harmed, but if they were her own assertion that she is supporting others to not be harmed is a long way from the truth – if Rockett was a true advocate then she would not then attack those she believes are ‘victims’. Yet Esther Rockett outright abuses, harasses, ridicules and continually stalks online, Serge’s wife Miranda and his daughter Natalie.
I cannot fathom this, what she says about them is appalling. If you really believed Natalie Benhayon had been sexually abused by her father, as a ‘child safety advocate’, there is NO WAY you would write to infer that over the internet and then in addition to the absolute additional trauma that having these accusations spread on the internet would cause then proceed to abuse the victim and infer she is a slut among many other things.
In my own extensive experience in child welfare, there is no way if you thought a young person had been sexually abused that you would post the details of this online with the young person’s name and then absolutely attack the young person. It would not happen. Anyone with experience in this area would know that they have obligations to support young people in these circumstances. The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, states that ‘Children who have been neglected or abused should receive special help to restore their self-respect’. It seems that Esther Rockett (with her imagined victims) has done the complete opposite of this, by falsely claiming that teenagers associated with Universal Medicine are victims of abuse, and then, when the teens have publicly asserted that nothing could be further from the truth and that no abuse of any kind has ever occurred, by going on to publicly abuse them on the internet.
This is very far from taking steps towards restoring the self respect of abuse victims. No ‘child safety advocate’ would participate in such activities against those that they genuinely thought had been abused. This clearly highlights Esther Rockett’s primary agenda to denigrate Serge Benhayon and bring his name into disrepute, since her actions suggest that she has no real interest in ensuring young people are not harmed or are kept safe from harm.
I know Natalie Benhayon and Miranda Benhayon personally, they are very strong women and do not carry the scars of women who have been abused.
Beyond that, due to the solidness that they offer and the depth of love and respect that they have for themselves, both Natalie and Miranda Benhayon have inspired many hundreds of women and men to move beyond patterns of self abuse and lack of self worth and turn their lives around.
If they were ‘victims’ of abuse in the way Rockett portrays them to be – hideously abused, lost, disempowered and ‘captive’ – then there is no way that these women could truly inspire others to make sustained and lasting changes in their lives.
The FACTS about a real ‘Child Safety Advocate’
I am a teacher, community worker and someone who delivers social and emotional wellbeing programs for children.
Working with and supporting children has always been something very strong in me, as a four year old I articulated that when I grew up I wanted to be a teacher. As a child and young person myself I was great with younger children and was often asked by my school principal to help out and support younger students in the school.
When I completed high school it was a natural progression for me to move into studying to become a teacher and this is something I have been deeply committed to for the past 17 years.
I completed 3 years of my teaching degree and then went and worked as a youth worker in suicide prevention in the Kimberley. After this experience I completed my final year of my teaching degree as I knew education was an area where you could make a true difference in the lives of children. It was horrific to see young people at a point of wanting to end their lives. I knew we needed to intervene sooner. I knew that we needed to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for all kids and to support them to recognise their own worth, and ever since this has been my passion and my work and something that I am highly regarded in.
In my extensive experience in education and child welfare that has included working as a teacher, being a youth worker in suicide prevention, running camps and recreational programs for children, lecturing at Universities, running professional development for teachers and presenting at national conferences on supporting child wellbeing, through all of these experiences I have come to know that quality relationships and connection are instrumental in the raising and educating of children and young people.
I worked as a teacher for 8 years before I came across Universal Medicine.
Why as a teacher, woman and person do I support Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine?
Considering the relentless lies written about Universal Medicine on Esther Rockett’s hate blogs, along with the extensive biased and negative media coverage that unquestioningly adopted the line presented by a small group of hate bloggers including Rockett herself, why do I continue to stand by this organisation?
Why would I stand by Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine when accusations like what Rockett is making could potentially ruin my career? It doesn’t make sense.
We really have to ask these questions. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am an intelligent woman who is not a push over. I have a deep care for people and am very committed to my work supporting children.
I stand by Universal Medicine and Serge Benhayon because I know first hand the truth of Universal Medicine. As someone who is deeply committed to education, community work and supporting others, I have seen the impact that Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine have had on the lives of hundreds of people.
As I said, I have worked supporting people my whole adult life and nowhere else have I ever seen a person or organisation make a true and lasting difference in so many people’s lives as what Universal Medicine has achieved, and it is this that I stand by. The before and after pages of the Universal Medicine website show this so clearly and this is only a tiny portion of what I have seen first hand.
I know full well that when it comes to working with people, if there are not true intentions and genuine support offered then the impact on people’s lives is limited and pretty soon they revert to old patterns or different patterns with the same underlying issue. You cannot have a dodgy dark pocket somewhere in your life and be able to truly inspire people in the way Serge Benhayon has been able to.
Serge’s family is also a testament of the quality of the man he is. He and Deborah have raised four adult children who are astonishing young people.
His eldest daughter Simone has just won UK swim teacher of the year for the second time, Natalie is an inspiration to thousands of women and as a young woman many older women have been inspired by her and seek her counsel, and his sons Michael and Curtis, both now fathers of young children, have a work ethic and commitment that is astounding and very inspiring. They are decent young men who work tirelessly in many areas and with many people to provide programs that support true health and vitality.
All of Serge’s children are the most together young adults I know, who hold an approach to life and maturity that is well beyond their years. If Serge was shonky, he would never have been able to raise his children to be such well rounded and mature adults. We would instead see his children as young people who had issues and be displaying behaviours such as drug addiction, alcohol abuse, lack of commitment to life or other such issues. None of this exists in them, and as stated, the opposite is the fact.
I know first hand what a true ‘child safety advocate’ is about as I have the wisdom of my own lived experiences and the body of work to know this.
I went into teaching because I wanted to make a difference. I loved working with children and teaching. I was a good teacher and children loved being in my class. However, personally I was still carrying issues in my life that impacted on my ability to bring everything that I wanted to the profession and to be absolutely consistent in this.
I’d had some difficult teenage years and had become shy and guarded in the world, I was still open and warm with children but often didn’t trust adults.
In my late 20s I was suffering from health issues and was obese. I just accepted that this is how I would be as I had tried many different ways to shift the weight and address my health issues but nothing lasted.
During this time my ability to inspire and support the kids I was teaching was there but was limited as I have found through experience that a lot is communicated through the reflection we offer to others through our own way of living in the world and the way we are ourselves. You cannot inspire another if you have not resolved those issues within yourself. My intention for education was that I didn’t want young people to grow up without valuing themselves. I had found my time working in suicide prevention extremely confronting, I did not want to see more young people growing up thinking their life was not worth living. I wanted young people to grow up knowing who they are and respecting, valuing and loving themselves.
Yet in the state I was in, I was not a reflection of this myself.
In 2010, I met Serge Benhayon and Natalie Benhayon at a Universal Medicine retreat. What Serge presented at that retreat about life and wellbeing was the start of what supported me to address the issues I was carrying and be inspired to start making the necessary changes to my life.
I know that the changes I have made in myself and continue to make now give me a platform to actually be able to genuinely support and inspire children and young people I work with.
Esther Rockett cannot make any legitimate claim to be a ‘child safety advocate’
To genuinely be a ‘child safety advocate’ you need to be able to live in a way within yourself that is responsible and loving so that you can offer a foundation of support, and a reflection that life is valuable and that you deeply love and appreciate yourself so that the children know that they are worth it too.
Esther Rockett cannot claim a role of ‘child safety advocate’. She accuses others of child abuse yet I have seen her abuse teenagers who are involved with Universal Medicine when they have clearly expressed that they are not the abused and groomed teens that she is labelling them as.
What sort of ‘child safety advocate’ in this current age would target high school students in this way? If you genuinely had concerns, you would not hate blog a group of teens. You would go to the authorities with evidence of your concerns and ask for action to be taken. But in Rockett’s case there is no evidence to present to the authorities. NONE. So instead she abuses those she labels as ‘victims’ – this is hardly the actions of an ‘advocate’.
If I had seen any cause for concern in regards to child safety within Universal Medicine, I would have taken this action myself. I have not because I have no concerns about Serge Benhayon’s conduct or that of Universal Medicine and this is supported on my part through my extensive personal and professional relationships with Serge Benhayon and those that Rockett has asserted are at risk of harm where there is clearly no harm or risk of harm whatsoever.
I do have concerns about Esther Rockett, a grown woman whom I observe acting in such an abusive and irresponsible way towards teenagers, other women, children and men who are decent and highly valued members of our community. Esther Rockett has not worked in child safety and welfare and has never contributed to this field of work and her conduct towards those she has falsely painted as victims should be of deep concern – Esther Rockett can in no way claim to be a ‘Child Safety Advocate’.
