Esther Rockett bolsters the extreme lies that she has concocted to develop an aura of fear and apprehension around Universal Medicine with false suggestions of secrecy, bullying and intimidation and that there has been threats of violence against ‘former members’. These suggestions are more blatant lies calculated to create suspicion.
Universal Medicine opens its doors and is transparent in its operations, there is no subterfuge as suggested by Esther Rockett, and certainly no threats of violence – a suggestion she might benefit from a colonic irrigation is not a threat of violence, simply a suggestion that it might clear the excrement she is so liberally passing around. Universal Medicine and in particular Serge Benhayon, have dealt with each and every farcical complaint lodged with government bodies by Esther Rockett and Lance Martin, and answered all false allegations with great candour. Ironically, it is Lance Martin and Esther Rockett who have conducted a two-year hate campaign spreading lies about all manner of wrongdoing, from mind control, predatory practices, tax fraud to ‘sexual and financial exploitation’, with calculated threats against the Benhayons and others.
Esther Rockett’s ‘dear friend and colleague’ Lance Martin, has made numerous threats directed at silencing his wife or anyone who challenges his lies and also more commonly he has threatened Serge Benhayon, some on Esther’s own blog sites:
‘Friendly reminder for Serge and family. We’re still here, and we’re a little less vocal because the effort is being put into making sure you are out of business ASAP. Now ain’t that spherical.’
‘Yes Serge you numbskull it is hogwash and lies you know it. Not only do I want to click the X I’d like to see that ‘ancient’ (LOL) wisdom (LOL!!) where the sun don’t shine. Happy New Year. Here’s praying this is the year your gig comes undone.’
‘Calling others a liar … does nothing but encourage us to keep working to make sure you are out of business and hopefully somewhere where you can’t manipulate others. That’s a promise. There’s more to come Serge. You know what it is. Heads up’
‘Another pernicious tentacle of the beast that needs to get the chop. I guess the only way is to cut off it’s head’
What is mysterious is that their own conduct is so far from their own awareness. Esther Rockett appears to consider herself as a reasonable adult when she writes:
We could try to bring Esther Rockett some awareness of the numerous threats she has made to anyone who shows the slightest connection to Universal Medicine, and it might, with the slimmest chance, cause some self-reflection.
Lismore Mayor Jenny Dowell and Councillor Isaac Smith were cyber-bullied by Esther Rockett and her gang, because of attending events that were sponsored by Real Media Real Change and the College of Universal Medicine. The events were held to benefit the community and positively supported awareness of cyber-abuse and how to deal with it. The Councillors attended because of their community engagement, not in support of Universal Medicine. Councillor Smith was bullied relentlessly on Esther’s blogs, suggesting improprieties on his part and threatening him with challenges to his political position if he did not capitulate and decry Universal Medicine. Although Councillor Smith approached the discourse in an amicable and adult manner, the same respect was not offered by Esther and her cohort, who tried to falsely make out he had engaged in unscrupulous conduct (amongst other things). Their agenda was not an ‘adult’ conversation but an attack with a politicised agenda.
And Esther Rockett must recall the treatment of others on her blog sites – with assertions of power, control and vile threats appearing to be her forte. In Esther Rockett’s own words, writing as her online identity Darkly Venus:
“As I have found my name on your list, I would like to say the following: I am no longer associated with Universal Medicine, so I would appreciate you taking my name from this list. As for your accuracy, I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. I do not see any use in bad-mouthing people and I do not approve of your website. It is simply reactive. Why would you waste your time doing this?”
I wrote back with a message to go fuck herself. A qualified counsellor and psychotherapist who thinks it’s a waste of time to expose a narcissism and death cult that molests sexual abuse survivors? Like I need her approval? Like naming a bunch of damaging parasites is worse than their preying on the vulnerable? If she was ‘qualified’ she would recognize the harm, and if she wasn’t such an entitled arsehole, she’d report the abusers. Anyway, she can stay on the list for another few years, and too bad if she misses out on clients. They don’t deserve her.’
Their presence looms ominous in any public activity that a Universal Medicine student seeks to conduct, or any other person seeks to participate in, as they send a barrage of complaints to organisations that might be seen as supporting such activities, presenting a constant threat to disrupt with lies and deceit.
They have tried to start Twitter wars spreading a barrage of false information – even going so far as to approach employers via Twitter about their staff. Encroaching further and further into their targets’ lives they have taken their online presence and paper war into the physical arena with threatening phone calls and appear to have actively stalked members of the Benhayon household.
Esther Rockett stalks a woman half her age
Esther Rockett and Lance Martin have been cyber-stalking Natalie Benhayon and this has spilled into the real world.
We are not sure who watched Natalie move house, maybe Lance Martin or Esther, or perhaps others since there are some members of Lance Martin’s gang who are not so openly exposing themselves on the Internet. Ever faithful to carry on in her cyber-bullying capacity Esther Rockett has made the comment:
This is disturbing; but then again, what is disturbing to a couple of Internet abusers, trolls and cyber-bullies who have a digital catalogue of very disturbing behaviour that cannot be erased? They are watching a young woman who is half their age. As Natalie has stated:
‘Whilst Esther Rockett becomes more hysterical in her own virtual world, the ridiculousness of her lies and rants reached an all time low with this comment – attempting to intimidate me by alluding to stalk where I live? Really Esther?
‘Even though Miss-Cyber-Troll-Esther will carry on incessantly demanding I answer these ridiculous lies of intimated ‘wrong-doings’, the only ‘wrong-doing’ in question is the countless lies told by Esther to abuse, manipulate and harm others’
As well as stalking Natalie and watching her every move, Esther Rockett has made the lewd and disgusting suggestion that Natalie was sexually abused by her own father.
What is disturbing about this is that they assume that Natalie would accept this and still be associated with her father if this were the case. Natalie has responded to these lies:
You have no proof, no evidence, no facts. You do not know me, you do not know my relationship with my father. Those that do, know with every part of them that there is not even the slightest amount of abuse between us.
It is an abhorrent act to attempt to defame and discredit another by fabricating lies of sexual misconduct. You abuse Esther, through lies, and this time not just Serge and myself, but all women who have actually experienced abuse.’
As Susie, age 14 easily observed:
‘I find it hard to believe that anyone in their right mind would believe Esther Rockett’s totally false claims; in truth she comes across as a bit of a lunatic. She has ABSOLUTELY ZERO evidence for any of her claims, and what UM Facts is offering is everything that she is missing – REAL testimonies (not ones that have been made up), REAL facts, and REAL evidence (hence why she is so ticked off).’
Lance Martin in particular keeps hinting at evidence that he has said that will make all the difference and indeed, correct us all and if only we could only see this evidence we would all somehow be apprised of the real Serge Benhayon. What escapes Lance Martin in his lost jealousy is that Serge Benhayon’s achievements are in the field of health and wellbeing, specifically, of the health and wellbeing achieved by others. No person in this world can wing that, fake it and/or swindle such extraordinary results. It is impossible to feign the astonishing results at a time when the world trend is the opposite. And this is being recognised more and more at very high levels.
But what can be feigned is a litany of lies and distortions.
Lance Martin keeps pretending that he has “truth, and shocking facts in black and white on our side.” However many threats Lance Martin makes of this earth shattering evidence, it is never produced and has certainly not been adequate for a government organisation to take any of his complaints seriously.
It is not hard to imagine, given the calibre of Esther Rockett and Lance Martin’s fabrications in their complaints to government, and in their blogs, that the ‘evidence’ no doubt amounts to bits and pieces of fact which have been cobbled together with a fictional story of wild imagined connections with no substance, believed only by Lance Martin and his new ‘partner’.
For example, a young woman is seen hugging Serge, ergo Serge is a pervert. Young women visit their same age friends and stay at the Benhayon’s, ergo Serge is a pervert. A pirate map with X marking the spot where the mythical treasure is, is what it sounds like. Yep, really convincing Lance. How would that stand up in a court of law? Your ex wife has been provided with one such piece of evidence hasn’t she Lance? You appear to have placed it in your daughters school bag to be discovered.
While there is no need to elaborate on the details of this ‘evidence’ – three disparate pieces that apparently together in Lance Martin’s mind proved some outrageous wrongdoing – what we can say is that this ‘evidence’ confirmed the join the dots approach that Lance Martin has taken in order to try, by whatever means possible, to prove what he has decided is true. The scribbles on the said ‘evidence’ have appeared to some observers as being nothing more than disturbed mumblings reminiscent of a diary of a madman.
Since no one else has seen Lance Martin’s other ‘evidence’ (if indeed there is more), we can only surmise what it contains. Given every complaint he has lodged with government departments has been dismissed we imagine it does not amount to much. Yet still he persists in hinting at its IMPORTANCE. His own wife said she was open to seeing it and was suggested by Lance that it might be too complex for her to understand or to follow. Sarah Baldwin also apparently invited Lance Martin to show her the evidence, but again he made excuses. We are waiting to see it – indeed we cannot wait.
“If you dare to question me, you will pay”
Questioning of Ms Rockett and her band of circus performers is met with derision, scorn, vitriol and in the case of anyone with professional standing an all out attack on their work and their workplaces. Social worker Ariana Ray, whose considered reflections on the dangers that were posed by Esther Rockett and Lance Martin given their sexualised verbal abuse concerning young girls and made up grooming allegations, dared to ask:
and has subsequently been subjected to outright attacks directed to her workplace, the piracy of her name online in Esther Rockett’s blogs with more of Esther’s pseudonyms (Ariana Ray Gun) and a Vitriolic twitter war. Yes, this is Esther and Lance’s reasonable adult conversation. It appears that Esther Rockett is confirming exactly what Ariana Ray has observed:
“The inappropriateness of the lies created by Esther Rockett brings in questions as to what kind of moral compass does she have that allows her to spew forth such allegations of such a sexualised nature. When someone’s moral compass is that off kilter, the normal societal boundaries one has do not prevent someone from unreasonable and unacceptable behaviour. Esther Rockett appears to have lost her boundaries. Given this, we need to consider what else is she capable of. There appears to be no internal mechanisms to restrain her or hold her back from the atrocities she creates.”
Esther Rockett has been busy denying that she has accused Serge Benhayon of paedophila, directing her bile at Ariana Ray, asserting on Twitter that she is ‘just asking why little girls are sent to stay at his house,’ but then Tweeting that the FACTS team – and those referred to in her link, namely Ariana Ray, Dr Maxine Szramka and Dr Eunice Minford – are ‘justifying molestation’. An accusation that appears to directly contradict her denials.
The imputations are apparent – and Esther Rockett is making sure that they are. There is no innocent victim here or supposed ‘whistleblower’ in Esther Rockett, but a calculated attacker with no evidence – that’s correct, ABSOLUTELY NO FACTS that would warrant any suggestion of impropriety, indeed the opposite is the case, with countless testimonials confirming Serge Benhayon’s respect and care for all, including the young women whom Esther Rockett has, by vicious innuendo, suggested have been abused. Making up fabricated malicious innuendoes about abuse with no evidence does not elevate someone to the status of a whistleblower.
Maxine Szramka has also met Esther Rockett’s ire. Maxine Szramka, upon reading about Esther Rockett’s reliance upon pictures in training manuals used some years ago to suggest that healing techniques taught by Universal Medicine amounted to ‘sexual abuse’, commented that the use of the pictures in this way must have been a deliberate deception on Esther’s part. Maxine Szramka observed:
‘It is patently clear that there have been no ‘harmless misunderstandings’ and no ‘harmless’ or ‘innocent’ ‘questionings’. It might be suggested that Esther appears to clearly know exactly what lies she is telling and what she is implying with her ‘questioning’ when it comes to child abuse, allegations of sexual impropriety, and ‘inappropriate touching’. The claims re sexual molestation/’inappropriate touching’ that she alleges regarding the hand positions in the techniques as illustrated above are all the more disturbingly deliberately wrong: as a trained acupuncturist, Esther has had training in anatomy and is well informed to know where the anus, the vulva and the breasts are. Thus, there is no excuse for ‘getting it wrong’. The use of the word ‘vulva’ has clearly been chosen with great deliberation to generate moral panic with reference to the chosen allegation of ‘inappropriate touching’.’
Apparently calling to account Esther’s peculiar understanding of anatomy and raising concerns about what we can only assume is either a deliberate misunderstanding of female anatomy or a complete failing of someone who should be trained in anatomy to know where the breast, vulva or anus are located was sufficient justification for Esther Rockett to commence an all out Twitter campaign against Maxine Szramka, and attempting to make sure that she smear Maxine Szramka’s name with her particularly vicious brand of vitriol, including directed attacks by her allies towards the University of Wollongong, where the eminent doctor, a Consultant Rheumatologist, provides clinical experience to medical students and holds an honorary appointment – an unpaid post – as a Clinical Senior Lecturer, although this role has nothing whatsoever to do with Maxine Szramka’s private opinions shared on the FACTS site.
We have no doubt that Esther Rockett, true to form, will be approaching Dr Szramka’s medical associations, places of work and no doubt manufacturing yet another fabricated HCCC complaint directed at Dr Szramka. How are the lies travelling with you Esther Rockett, any more tricks up your sleeve?
Esther Rockett Anti-cult Activist – an expert in lies
After Esther Rockett and Lance Martin’s identities were exposed in May 2014 (on this site), Esther Rockett set about an attempt to pass herself off as a public health advocate and anti-cult activist, perhaps with a view to setting herself up as Australia’s answer to the Rick Ross Forum (now Cult Education Forum, since Rick Ross sold his site name to an online gambling review site). The original Rick Ross site was set up by a twice convicted felon (separate incidents of robbery and kidnapping) dedicated to disseminating information of questionable veracity and caliber about any group that literally anyone has labelled a cult, with no fact checking to see if such claims are true. Rick Ross, like Esther Rockett, promotes himself as a professional ‘cult expert’, but he has no religious, sociological, psychological or relevant qualification whatsoever, he is in fact a former criminal.
In adopting the title Anti-cult activist and commencing her new website, she has sought to present herself as a serious player in the anti-cult movement, boasting on her new site that Lance was her ‘dear friend and colleague’ (and is apparently a little bit more than that if the rumours about town are true). As part of this strategy she recently aligned herself with the Cult Information Family Support (CIFS) network, asserting in a public arena that she is a member and apparently an advocate of that organisation.
Like other cults of anti-cultism, CIFS disseminates information about the beliefs, structures and activities of groups that they have considered to earn the title cult.
Like other anti-cult groups in the United States, CIFS has strived with varying success to bring their accusations against groups they have labelled cults before public forums, and like its American counterparts has persistently lobbied legislators and the executive government that certain unconventional religious groups present a danger to the public. They publicly advocate adoption of draconian measures to curb the activities of ‘cults’. In a Treasury inquiry into charitable activities, CIFS, backed by Senator Nick Xenophon, advocated that charitable status should be denied to ‘cults that may cause detriment or harm to their members’.
Apart from the difficulty of discerning what a ‘cult’ is and who fits the criteria, because there is no ‘independent standard for judging amongst religions’, the Rev Gary Bouma (2011) has pointed out that if the possibility of doing damage is to be the criterion for excluding charitable status ‘the Catholic Church need not apply.’ It is not far fetched to suggest a warning label should be applied to other well established religions – ‘Association with this group may be injurious to your health, wellbeing and self-respect’ indeed the question has been asked why Esther Rockett is targeting Universal Medicine with outright lies, when there is probably real work to be done elsewhere.
By viewing herself as ‘on a mission to drive out an evil cult’ it appears that Esther Rockett has given herself a license to behave in whatever way she chooses – making up lies, fabricating complaints to government departments and generally abusing others and now crying victimisation when those she has attacked have struck back with a correction expressing the truth.
She appears to have garnered the support of CIFS who seem to have adopted wholesale Esther Rockett’s accounts of Universal Medicine without critical investigation; an approach sure to backfire as blind support and adopting of lies inevitably has consequences. But this has been the approach of allied organisations, such as Rick Ross, where once called a ‘cult’ by anyone, there is no right of reply or right to question the label. It is a label that is pejorative and it is intended to be a slur.
Along the way, Esther Rockett has taken up the elements of the anti-cult network that suit her aims, one is to assert that any defence by targeted groups to the lies that she has spread amount to victimisation.
Lance Martin and Esther Rockett, hear it here once again –
Esther Rockett constructs false claims of victimisation – ‘denial of guilt is seen as proof of guilt’
Part of Esther Rockett’s narrative has been to adopt the rhetoric of the anti-cult network, who asserts that those who speak up against a so called powerful ‘cult’ will be victimised and silenced.
In response to what most would see as a reasonable response in unreasonable circumstances, with Universal Medicine seeking defamatory material removed from publication, protecting its copyrighted material and correcting outright lies told about Serge Benhayon and whoever else Esther Rockett and Lance Martin have on their radar, Esther Rockett has attempted to paint herself as a victimised whistle-blower.
Indeed, this appears to be a convenient catch cry of anyone who is held to account for their false reports about groups that have been labelled a cult by the anti-cult network.
Yes that’s correct – 2005 and very little experience.
So how does Esther then transform herself into a ‘whistle-blower’? That usually connotes someone who is privy to real in depth information or knowledge – Esther has neither.
Furthermore, Universal Medicine does not have a ‘membership’ from which to ‘whistle-blow’ from and there is nothing to be exposed that is not clearly in the public domain. To paint herself as a whistle-blower appears to be another of Esther Rockett’s self-aggrandising delusions. CIFS gave the standard anti-cult rhetoric in a recent government submission:
‘Individuals harmed by cults and quack therapists are reluctant to make complaints out of fear of retaliation from their zealous followers. Those in the thrall of cult groups are enmeshed in unequal power relationships and their predicament arises precisely because of the suppression of their critical thinking faculties. Dissent or questioning is heavily discouraged in these groups and they are frequently in no position to make a complaint. Victims and whistleblowers are painted as liars or disgruntled apostates.’
As a starting point, there is no one who has come forward who has shown any harm caused by attending Universal Medicine events or healing sessions. Not even Esther Rockett herself, indeed in her own circumstances she has only described what she considered the mere possibility of an imagined wrong that ‘might’ have occurred if she had somehow allowed it. But nothing occurred and no harm was suffered. What is more, for the rational and scientific reader, there is no suppression of critical thinking that holds people in the ‘thrall of cult groups’ and it is certainly not apparent in Universal Medicine.
CIFS are here referring to the discredited brainwashing theory to which they cling in spite of it being completely discredited and rejected by the United States courts and it would no doubt receive the same treatment in front of the UK and Australian judicial system, quite simply because there is no credible evidence to support it.
It is a standard recitation, that those who are involved in a group they have labelled a ‘cult’ have basically lost their minds. It does not seem to occur to them that to advocate a theory that requires the suspension of disbelief to uphold it, because let’s face it, ‘brainwashing’ is science fiction, is rather like the ‘cultish’ behaviour they so abhor. The anti-cult movement calls upon its members to believe their rhetoric without question, to question risks the label of being a ‘cult apologist’. Also, what is missing in the anti-cult narrative is that a matter of faith is not really going to be something that stands up to intellectual criticism – Universal Medicine is a complementary healing business. Serge Benhayon is also a man of religious conviction, differing from the traditional conceptions of religion, he nonetheless leads a religious life and this has informed his business. But, this is no different to any person of religious conviction who chooses to run a business.
In addition, guided by that profound conviction, Serge Benhayon has established a religion – The Way of The Livingness – some who attend Universal Medicine workshops may also regard themselves as part of that religion, but using the services of the business and being affiliated with the religion are not necessarily requisite for each other. You can attend a Catholic Hospital or a Counselling Service without being or becoming a Catholic.
The beliefs and tenets of any religion may not be attractive or compelling to many, however, that is not a reason to condemn another. Indeed it is a fundamental human right to be able to have free exercise of one’s religion and hold the beliefs of that religion without fear of reprisal. It might be said that Esther Rockett, along with her anti-cult buddies, are attacking our fundamental human rights. Do we stand silent when our inalienable rights are being attacked?
The conundrum is so clearly illustrated here, where the supposed ‘victim’ is a fake and there is no real ‘whistle-blower’, simply a couple of people who have been willing to be ‘relentless’ in ‘bringing down’ Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine, fuelled by a personal vendetta with no evidence of harm of any kind.
To claim the liar will be accused of being a liar is a convenient way of dismissing evidence that completely challenges any of the false claims against Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine. Esther Rockett, in her own approach to AHMAC, and apparently in numerous other missives, implied that Universal Medicine were:
And also that Universal Medicine had resorted to:
Like everything else Esther Rockett claims, she gives no evidence of any such intimidation or false statements.
She further asserted that the making of complaints to the HCCC (14 complaints and counting) has ‘exposed’ her to ‘harassment and attempts at intimidation.’
Universal Medicine has responded to all complaints through appropriate channels, Esther Rockett has been left to her own devices to lodge fabricated complaint after fabricated complaint and to disseminate lies on her blog sites and various submissions. Her activities have not been interfered with.
Esther Rockett has absolutely no evidence of harassment and intimidation by Universal Medicine, although she has attempted to argue that this blog site amounts to such harassment and intimidation, suggesting on Twitter that we have ‘defamed and trashed victims’.
Esther Rockett is no innocent victim, she has conducted a two-year vicious and relentless cyber-bullying campaign based on lies and malicious innuendo.
The FACTS blog was created because the only way to get a bully to stop is by standing up for the truth. Not by rolling over.
