Why I write for Universal Medicine Facts By Alison Greig BA LLB(Hons); LLM(Hons); Grad Dip Psych.
A truly noble person and someone who shines with integrity in all they say and do is a rare thing in this world. I have not had an absence of such people in my life – my own father is a man of deep integrity from whom I learnt the importance of standing up for what you know is true, even if the whole world appears to be taking a different stance.
But generally in life those that walk their talk is rare.
I do not easily assess people as being endowed with integrity or consider them worthy of trust. I met Serge Benhayon in 2006 and, as is my practice with all whom I meet, I have observed him and scrutinised his conduct in every way, and I still do to this day, as integrity and trust is something that is earned moment to moment in all we say and do.
In all this time I have never observed him to be less than deeply caring, respectful and trustworthy with every single interaction with myself, and others.
In the years I have now known him I have come to regard him as a trusted friend and know with every part of me that he is worthy of that trust and acts with integrity in all he says and does. It is against this background that when I witnessed the vile attacks of cyber-bullies and also the media against this remarkable man and many others I could not stand by and allow the disgraceful behaviour to continue without making a stand.
In 2012 I witnessed the tabloid media take an unprecedented interest in Serge Benhayon and I personally sat in an audience where a peaceful group assembled to listen to a lecture by Serge Benhayon was hijacked by a camera crew and one David Millikan from Channel 7, who accused us of being in a ‘cult’.
I had not taken the ‘cult’ allegations seriously, since I am an intelligent person and not easily swayed by others, and had little interest in what appeared to be media sensationalism, however it sparked my interest as a lawyer with graduate studies in psychology and I began researching what was being said about Serge Benhayon. By that time Lance Martin was busy on the Rick Ross Forum, the site of twice convicted felon and self appointed cult expert Rick Ross, trying to drum up a story that Universal Medicine was a ‘cult’, and Esther Rockett was soon to follow with her hate blog campaign under the cloak of anonymity as Pranic Princess and Venus Darkly (changed to Darkly Venus it seems for obvious reasons).
What I have discovered in my research is that the pair excel in repeating the fallacies, relied upon by the anti-cultists, such as brainwashing, covert hypnosis, dependency and dread and other pseudo-psychology myths created by the now discredited Margaret Singer.
I watched as the pair’s vitriol online attacked Serge Benhayon, his family and anyone else that Esther Rockett deemed to have a connection with Serge Benhayon. The vile accusations against the Benhayons, doctors, health professionals and others have been well covered on this FACTS blogsite. The vicious lies apparently endless and becoming more extreme as they were left unchecked, from lies about ‘cult’ practices, insane suggestions of indecent assaults, sexual abuse and money laundering amongst other things.
There came a point where I saw so many people I knew being falsely attacked and so shamelessly lied about, that I said enough is enough, something must be done, and there were a few others who also had felt that the only way to challenge the cyber-abuse that was being relentlessly pursued by Lance Martin and Esther Rockett was to expose their activities and break their cloak of anonymity – their anonymity seemingly giving licence to the most foul and disgusting abuse and threats. Thus the Universal Medicine Facts site was born.
The FACTS blogs have systematically examined and answered all of the accusations and lies that Esther Rockett and Lance Martin have thrown and shown them to be just that – lies. On the way those who have adopted the lies without looking at the facts have also been addressed. Jane Hansen, who inexplicably adopted the lies of the cyber-abusers to make up a number of articles without even the barest examination of the facts, or consideration of the veracity of her witnesses, has also had the lies and conduct she engages in exposed, as has her lying sources, such as Ira McClure.
What is truly inexplicable is Jane Hansen has completely ignored the evidence in front of her – the many hundreds worldwide living healthier and more joyful lives with the teachings of Universal Medicine that promotes a life concerned with self-care and respect for self and others versus a tiny group of individuals who take issue with what are essentially teachings about a healthy lifestyle and have personal axes to grind.
No one has answered what is wrong with choosing a healthy diet, free of gluten, dairy, sugar, alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, coffee and salt; and a sleeping cycle that honours our circadian rhythms. All that those simple choices are met with is ‘cult’ or ‘anti-social’.
Interestingly, and a matter blatantly ignored by Esther Rockett, Lance Martin and Jane Hansen, is that anti-social behaviour appears to be largely the result of alcohol and drug consumption, not its abstinence.
We at FACTS have been accused of victimising the ‘critics’ of Universal Medicine. What needs to be stated is that Esther Rockett, Lance Martin and Jane Hansen are not ‘critics’ of Universal Medicine. Those that make up lies and try to sell them as facts are not critics.
Critics, or at least any reasonable version of a critic, consider the facts – what Rockett, Martin, and Hansen have done is made up stories based on lies, made assumptions based on lies and tried to get others to agree with their conclusions based upon more lies. Basically presenting layers of lies on lies. They have had no evidence for their lies and accusations except their own say so.
My writing on FACTS reflects a personal commitment to seeing truth prevail and justice being done. When lies have become reality for a small, insignificant group, it is incumbent upon those who are able to bring the truth to light to do so. What is more is that as a society we need to stand up and say NO to abuse in all its forms, and we can start with Internet trolls, cyber-bullies and the media.
