Lance Martin has had a series of business interests that if online review sites are anything to go by seem to have gained a dubious reputation.
For several years Lance Martin has run a series of online accommodation marketing businesses that rely heavily on telemarketing to sell accommodation package deals using overseas call centres. Lance Martin is the director of ‘Sales Paradigm Pty Ltd’, currently trading as ‘Hotels2go’. His previous business, ‘Hotel Marketing Group Pty Ltd’, traded as both ‘Hotel Bargains’ and ‘Bargain Breaks’. Prior to that, his business was ‘Freedom Escapes Pty Ltd’ trading as ‘My Platinum Blue’.
It is notable that Lance Martin has changed his business name frequently whilst still selling what appears to be the same accommodation package deals. A simple search of the internet reveals that scores of reviews of Lance Martin’s businesses from both disgruntled customers and accommodation providers appears to the probable reason why this is so. It would seem that as one business name gets muddied by a series of bad reviews, and thus that business falters, Lance Martin simply changes his trading name or starts up a new business.
The negative reviews found online date back to 2007 and continue through to late 2013. It begs the question, is this indicative of a reputable and trusted businessman? It is clearly the opinion of some who have posted reviews that Lance Martin in his business dealings is a scam artist and conman and has acted in a way that is dishonest and unscrupulous.
A very small selection of the reviews of Lance Martin’s businesses follow.

After receiving the amazing but too good to be true phone call, asked them to call me back so I could check the validity of this company. Read the above complaints thank you, and also checked out the alluring ‘hotelbargains website’ and noticed that all but two of the hotel photo images have the hotel’s name. On investigating, these two hotels have no business dealings with ‘hotelbargains’, yet another scam to obtain your credit card details!

Scam scam scam
This Hotel Bargains deals are nothing but a scam. They tell you lies and then after they get your money, they say that they have listened to the recording of the telephone call of when you signed up, and you were told the correct information. This is lies lies lies. They take everyones money under false pretences. Keep your money and dont go anywhere near Hotel Bargains. I lost $249 and so did my brother, and I am so annoyed with myself for being so gullible in believing their lies.

HOTELS2GO CHEATS THE CUSTOMERS AND THE BUSINESS PEOPLE 11/12/20130 Comments The person behind HOTELS2GO is very a BIG FRAUD. He change the business names time and again and fools the customer. In past decade he changed the business names as well as the registered company name

In 2008, Lance Martin’s business ’Freedom Escapes Pty Ltd‘ came to the attention of ACMA (Australian Communications and Media Authority) for alleged contraventions of the Commonwealth Do Not Call Register Act 2006. This followed 225 complaints from consumers who, notwithstanding that they were listed on the Do Not Call Register, claimed that they had nevertheless received a telemarketing call from ‘Freedom Escapes’. As a result, Lance Martin and his business partner were required to sign 3 pages of enforceable undertakings in January 2009.
While breaches of the Do not Call register appear to have ceased, poor online reviews of Lance Martin’s businesses continued and in January 2013 his business Hotel Marketing Group was issued with an insolvency notice by ASIC due to failure to pay creditors.
Serge Benhayon’s business success has attracted the ire of Lance Martin in the wake of Lance Martin’s own business difficulties, with Lance Martin displaying an almost obsessional interest in trying to bring Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine down. He has made a series of unfounded complaints to the ATO, ASIC, ACCC etc. with a comment in March 2013 flagging that ‘bringing you down is a commitment and it will happen’. He has been at this crusade since early 2012 with no success and one wonders how many years he will keep it up in the face of so many complaints properly investigated and dismissed. He clearly has no intention of giving up soon however. In May 2014 when describing his own character he wrote in bold, “I AM RELENTLESS” followed by more threats to have authorities stop Serge Benhayon and stating,“ ….it will happen. That’s a promise”. – A disturbing obsession indeed.
What is patently clear is that Serge Benhayon has achieved a high degree of success in business which Lance Martin has not been able to emulate. Furthermore, Serge Benhayon has done so with the support and admiration of not only other successful business persons, but many hundreds of persons across a wide range of professions and careers across the globe. Notably the growth of Serge Benhayon’s recent business interests (including the founding of ‘Universal Medicine’) have been without the need to create new business entities whilst leaving a trail of disgruntled clients in his wake. On the contrary Serge Benhayon invokes scores of positive testimonials with regard to what he and his business bring.
From the facts it appears to us to be possible that Lance Martin’s false narrative of Serge Benhayon as a con man and scam artist is actually a projection on Lance’s part of his own way of doing business.
Anna Douglas, Lance Martin’s ex wife clearly details on the fact that Martin becomes erratic when he experiences financial difficulties, which she says, occurred on and off throughout their 16 year arrangement and was a contributing factor in numerous break ups. Raging jealousy is evidently at hand. It is very clear that Lance Martin has been and still is far more incensed by Serge Benhayon’s business success, when his attention and efforts should have been to save his marriage by acting more lovingly, more decently and with much less of the bullying he exerted.
