Esther Rockett – Acupuncturist, Cyber-bully, Internet Troll
Esther Rockett Acupuncturist and recently self proclaimed Health Care Activist, has moved from her leafy Brisbane suburb to set up shop as an Acupuncturist in Byron Bay. We assume that her move will not stop her nocturnal activities of cyber-bullying and trolling. Esther Rockett will no doubt by day be conducting a practice in acupuncture – she now advertises that she specialises in a range of ‘internal and external conditions’, whatever that means, and continues her claims of being a ‘women’s health’ practitioner. We have observed that Esther Rockett has shown a notable contempt for women in her blogging and would imagine that this might raise concern about her offering a specialisation in women’s health. Perhaps, given her evident contempt, women’s health may not be a suitable area of expertise? This is Esther Rockett’s public persona, however, in a hidden life, Esther Rockett Acupuncturist Byron Bay doubles as a cyber-bully and cyber-stalker with secret and hidden identities – Darkly Venus and Pranic Princess – her online alter egos.
In online blogs under this cloak of anonymity, Esther Rockett has been on a mission to save the world from the ‘Serge Benhayon cult’ having formed the deluded view that Serge Benhayon is a dangerous cult leader and that there is such a thing as a ‘Universal Medicine cult’. Since being outed as the cyber-bully and cyber-stalker that she is, Esther Rockett has attempted to rebadge herself as a ‘Health Care Activist’. Obviously the possibility that Esther Rockett, Health Care Activist is really a serial vexatious complainant to various government departments with an axe to grind escapes her own self-awareness. After all, by her own admissions, the NSW HCCC depicted her to the NSW Health Minister as ‘some sort of a windbag nuisance’. Her scramble to save her reputation may be a little difficult if we reflect upon her history of online vitriol under the description of Pranic Princess – cult buster and Nobody’s Bitch. Hardly the behaviour of a Health Care Activist. This site exposes Esther Rockett Health Care Activist and Esther Rockett Acupuncturist in her true colours.
Esther Rockett in her acupuncture practice now operating at Suite 4, Centennial Circuit, Byron Bay will no doubt not disclose publicly her private internet persona. It is unlikely that Esther Rockett will ever provide a link through her professional services website to any of her other internet activities. Nowhere does Esther Rockett ever, in advertising her services as an acupuncturist, disclose that she is on a self appointed mission, albeit anonymously, to undermine in a callous and dishonest way the integrity and success of other complementary medicine providers.
The work of Universal Medicine is the focus of Esther Rockett’s attacks, an organisation training many new and experienced practitioners around the world in the provision of complementary medicine services. Esther Rockett, in her often sordid and scurrilous online accusations against many individuals involved with Universal Medicine, demonstrates a dangerous and questionable obsession that we imagine a client of her acupuncturist services might want to be aware.
Esther Rockett has relentlessly targeted Serge Benhayon, the founder of Universal Medicine, and his family with personal online attacks and malicious lies and threats. Esther Rockett’s attacks extend to spreading ridiculous lies about anyone associated with Universal Medicine, despite that she has never met and knows nothing about them. The sheer volume of her online publishing, mired as it is in lies and viciousness, reflects what is commonly understood in the general community to be a “cyber-bully” and “internet troll”.
It appears that Esther Rockett, searches the internet to find any forum where her targets may appear, adding malicious comments whilst posing as Darkly Venus or Pranic Princess, often directing readers to her blogs where she covers her targets more extensively. It is curious that she sees requests by her targets to remove material from her sites as evidence that she is the one being bullied and complaints made about her to her own regulatory body, where her mental state is questioned, have become further fodder for her paranoid presentation of herself as the victim of bullying.
Esther Rockett poses as an expert on all things Universal Medicine, yet her contact with this organisation has been negligible. As disclosed by Esther Rockett on her blogs she had a passing contact with Serge Benhayon in 2005 when she attended upon him for three or four healing sessions and a course that he facilitated. She appears to have expressed no dissatisfaction with Serge Benhayon in 2005 or any time in the next seven years. In September 2012 however after reading a sensationalist media article about Serge Benhayon, Esther Rockett appeared on the Rick Ross Cult Education Forum keen to join in the fray with her false and sensational account of an ‘ovarian reading’ that she claims Serge Benhayon carried out on her seven years prior. Notably there has never been a treatment offered by Serge Benhayon called an ‘ovarian reading’ and as will be exposed in other posts this foundation on which Esther Rocket builds her narrative against Serge Benhayon is very shaky indeed.
The Rick Ross forum (now known as the Cult Education Institute) is responsible for the dissemination of sensationalism, lies and innuendo as the foundation for an extensive industry of cult “exposing” and “de-programing”. Notably any organisation that the Rick Ross forum labels a ‘cult’ has no recourse to argue against this label – it only takes one disgruntled person to label an organisation it does not like a ‘cult’ and it is ever after so branded. The Rick Ross forum provided a venue for individuals to meet other like-minded persons online and it is in this context that Esther Rockett met Lance Martin, himself seeking to avoid any personal responsibility for the end of his marriage. With little insight, Esther Rockett has, by her own admission, published a great deal of information disseminated to her by Lance Martin, becoming the willing mouthpiece and accomplice in Lance Martin’s personal crusade to ‘bring down’ Universal Medicine. Esther Rockett’s campaign has extended offline to her making mutiple complaints to various regulatory bodies – all investigated and all dismissed as baseless. On the basis of so many attempts to discredit Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine failing – and failing because the facts easily discredited the complaints – are you Esther Rockett willing to keep supporting Lance Martin’s stories? Will your misguided pursuits lead to yet another situation as occurred to you in Japan? Time, as it does, will unfold this and many other answers.
Esther Rockett has also been promoting herself as an anti-cult activist. She has described herself as a member of the Cult Information Family Support Network and openly supports Cult Consulting Australia. These two organisations have openly declared hostilities to many groups whose spiritual adherents have made their homes in Byron Bay. We cannot help but wonder how Esther Rockett’s pursuits might be viewed by the good folk of Byron Bay who are much more forgiving of the groups Esther and her allied anti-cult groups have attacked, including Universal Medicine. Esther Rockett Acupuncturist Byron Bay may find less than palatable the fact that Byron Bay locals favour a lenient view towards unusual and boutique religious groups and indeed openly embrace them.
Esther Rockett has demonstrated an awareness of how to use the internet, and in particular search engine technology, to perpetrate her obsessional rants. Although repeating a lie over and over does not make it true, Esther Rockett is aware that repeating a lie over and over on the internet makes it rank highly in search results for the target you are trolling. Regardless of truth, cyber-bullying creates a world of lies that are presented to the unwary user at the click of a mouse.
Her cyber-stalking has escalated beyond her blogs to sending personal emails to individuals and to the employers of individuals associated with Universal Medicine, in which she make serious false allegations of misconduct alongside strange and paranoid claims of conspiracy and cult recruitment, often including to employers an anti-Universal Medicine “Press Kit” that she has co-authored with Lance Martin. While maintaining her anonymity online Esther Rockett has revealed herself in this “Press Kit”, as the author of the ‘Universal Medicine Accountability’ blog. If employers respond to her malicious emails these responses are used as material on her blogs.
In one of her direct attacks on an individual associated with Universal Medicine, Esther Rockett emailed an employer with bizarre accusations that their employee had used their dying mother as some sort of front to hide their association with Universal Medicine in order to cover up what Esther Rockett imagined to be a conflict of interest. In another case Esther Rockett claimed to the employer of a doctor associated with Universal Medicine that the doctor was part of a ‘death drive cult’, citing an article written by the doctor on the subject of assisted suicide as proof of her claims, notwithstanding that the article was actually an anti assisted suicide piece. The often delusional nature of her claims and the lengths to which she is willing to go to perpetuate her cause, demonstrate a concerning disregard for the wellbeing and health of others, a concern that is all the more important given that in her profession as an acupuncturist she is a provider of healthcare herself. That she now is selling herself as Esther Rockett Health Care Activist is deeply concerning.
Psychological research suggests that cyber-bullying can be a trigger for psychosis, indeed as time progresses, and there appears to be no developing audience for her malicious blogs, she has made up more and more outlandish and disgusting stories about her targets. When observers have read some of this material it has been described as ‘quite mad’ or the ‘woman is obviously unhinged’.
Esther Rockett’s lack of concern for the impact of her behaviour on others appears to demonstrate the psychopathology that is a typical part of a cyberbully’s persona. The psychological profile of cyberbullies is disturbing – cyberbullies are at risk of developing psychosis and exhibit sub-clinical sociopathic personality traits including narcissism, sociopathy and sadism (Klomek, 2011; Srabstein, 2009; Baughman etal., 2012; Buckels et al, 2014) which are reinforced by the nature of the online environment. Sadism is a standout personality feature of trolls, Buckels et al (2014) concluded that “online trolls are prototypical online sadists”.
It is our opinion that in the below dialogue Esther Rockett is exhibiting these tendencies:
“And finally, an Eso-healer emailed me the following message: “As I have found my name on your list, I would like to say the following: I am no longer associated with Universal Medicine, so I would appreciate you taking my name from this list. As for your accuracy, I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. I do not see any use in bad-mouthing people and I do not approve of your website. It is simply reactive. Why would you waste your time doing this?”
“I wrote back with a message to go fuck herself. A qualified counsellor and psychotherapist who thinks it’s a waste of time to expose a narcissism and death cult that molests sexual abuse survivors? Like I need her approval? Like naming a bunch of damaging parasites is worse than their preying on the vulnerable? If she was ‘qualified’ she would recognize the harm, and if she wasn’t such an entitled arsehole, she’d report the abusers. Anyway, she can stay on the list for another few years, and too bad if she misses out on clients. They don’t deserve her.”
We have to ask if this is the behaviour that allows for a description of Esther Rockett Health Care Activist? Indeed, we would suggest that Esther Rockett takes a pause to consider her conduct. The psychological research should give any adult engaging in cyber-bullying pause to consider their activities. It certainly would suggest that Esther Rockett the acupuncturist may not be a practitioner of choice for those seeking such services and certainly not someone that members of the community or government should listen to as a Health Care Activist. The Construction of malicious avatars – Venus Darkly and Pranic Princess – allow Esther Rockett to vent her more sadistic and vicious tendencies (Buckel et al, 2014). Certainly, it appears to us that Esther Rockett’s online personas demonstrate the destructive and sadistic nature of the internet troll. On these blogs we will present the latest research on cyber-bullies and internet trolls and consider Esther Rockett’s online behaviour within this context.
It would seem that Esther Rockett works by day as ‘healer’ and by night as a cyber-bully and internet troll, spreading vitriol and rumour with no care for the lives that she is potentially damaging. She certainly is going to have an uphill battle selling herself as Esther Rockett Health Care Activist and we hope that the Byron Bay community are able to see that the quality of practitioner is exposed by the activities that they conduct in their spare time.
If everything is energy as Albert Einstein proclaimed it begs the question; what energy is Esther Rockett bringing to her healing table?
